{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-323a.030","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 323A.030","heading":"Persons to whom chapter does not apply.","body":"(1) A landscape architect acting solely as an officer or employee of the United States\nGovernment is not required to be licensed in the Commonwealth.\n(2) A licensed professional engineer may prepare plans and specifications for and\nsupervise construction in connection with any of the professional services described\nin this chapter.\n(3) A licensed professional architect may prepare plans and specifications for and\nsupervise construction in connection with any of the professional services described\nin this chapter.\n(4) Nothing in this chapter shall be construed as restricting or otherwise affecting the\nright of any individual to engage in the occupation of growing and marketing\nnursery stock or to use the title nurseryman, landscape nurseryman, or gardener, or\nthe right of any individual to plan or plant his own property.\n(5) Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to restrict nurserymen or gardeners from\npreparing and executing planting plans.\n(6) Nothing in this chapter shall be construed as restricting or oth erwise affecting the\nright of any individual certified by the American Society of Golf Course Architects\nto engage in the occupation of golf course design, specifically, the designing and\npreparation of all required working drawings.\n(7) Nothing in this ch apter shall be construed as restricting or otherwise limiting the\npractice of planning as customarily performed by community, regional or state\nplanners.\n(8) Nothing in this chapter shall be construed as restricting or otherwise affecting the\nright of any person from performing grading, earthmoving, or other construction\noperations which are normal to his occupation.","path":["KRS Chapter 323A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=31524","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:18Z","sha256":"51dfe443844f31ad95beefaa1389cbc4c2afaa65298816b51256eb8b04b1c2ae","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-323a.025","next":"us-ky/krs-323a.040"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
