{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-324.030","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 324.030","heading":"Exceptions to KRS 324.020.","body":"KRS 324.020(1) and (2) shall not apply to:\n(1) Any person who as owner or lessor performs any of the acts defined in KRS\n324.010 with reference to property owned or leased by him or to his regular\nemployees, with respect to the property so owned or leased, if the acts are\nperformed in the regular cours e of, or as an incident to, the management of the\nproperty and the investment in it;\n(2) Any person acting as attorney in fact under a duly executed power of attorney from\nthe owner authorizing the final consummation by performance of any contract for\nthe sale, leasing, or exchange of real estate;\n(3) Any attorney-at-law who is performing his duties as attorney-at-law;\n(4) Any receiver, trustee in bankruptcy, administrator, or executor, person selling real\nestate under order of any court, or a trustee actin g under a trust agreement, deed of\ntrust, or will or the regular salaried employees thereof;\n(5) A person engaged in property management, if the person:\n(a) Is a regular employee of the owner or principal broker of the company\nengaged in property management; or\n(b) Receives as his primary compensation the use of a rental unit; or\n(6) A nonlicensed person under the supervision of a licensed real estate broker who\ncontacts the public for the purpose of setting an appointment for the broker to meet\nwith them r egarding buying or selling property and giving out general public\ninformation specifically authorized by the broker.","path":["KRS Chapter 324"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=31548","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:19Z","sha256":"8c711e5f376e4bc69e8c8034a332769a5f25a699f865ac648e3b790e8306c786","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-324.020","next":"us-ky/krs-324.040"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
