{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-324.112","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 324.112","heading":"Broker to manage certain branch offices -- Qualified sales associate may","body":"manage certain branch offices -- Registration of branch offices -- Filing of\nlicenses -- Temporary affiliation of one principal broker with another.\n(1) No principal broker shall maintain a branch office outside a one hundred (100) mile\nradius of the main office without having a broker managing the branch office.\n(2) A sales associate with two (2) years experience in the real estate business, averaging\nat least twenty (20) hours p er week for a period of twenty -four (24) months prior,\nmay manage a branch office inside a one hundred (100) mile radius of the main\noffice.\n(3) The principal broker shall register any branch office with the commission within ten\n(10) days of the creation of the branch office.\n(4) The licenses of all licensees shall be kept on file in the office in which they are\nactively engaged and affiliated.\n(5) A principal broker in the process of closing a real estate brokerage business may\naffiliate temporarily with another principal broker if:\n(a) No other licensee is affiliated with the former principal broker;\n(b) Both the former and the latter principal brokers represent to the commission\nthat the affiliation is for the purpose of closing the former principal brok er's\nbusiness; and\n(c) Both the former and the latter principal brokers give assurances satisfactory to\nthe commission that no consumer will be adversely affected by the affiliation\nor the closing of the former principal broker's business.","path":["KRS Chapter 324"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=31566","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:19Z","sha256":"7ac1b672c8e356ea8cadbb7199e999dc97fe8a47c65c43e498669537a933fba6","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-324.111","next":"us-ky/krs-324.115"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
