{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-324.117","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 324.117","heading":"Advertising -- Affiliations to be listed -- Administrative regulations of","body":"commission.\n(1) No real estate advertising shall be intentionally false, misleading, or deceptive.\n(2) The name of a deceased broker may remain a part of the firm name.\n(3) A sales associate may have his or her name in the firm name after two (2) years'\nexperience with the firm, averaging at least twenty (20) hours per week for twenty -\nfour (24) months.\n(4) Whenever any real property is listed, a licensee shall include the name of  the real\nestate company listed on the licensee's real estate license or the name of the\nprincipal broker with whom the licensee is affiliated in all advertisements of the\nlisted property, regardless of who places the advertisement, unless he or she is\nselling, renting, leasing, or otherwise dealing in his or her own property. If listed\nproperty is advertised by a customer or client of a listing licensee, the licensee shall,\nat a minimum, provide the customer or client with written notification of the\nrequirements of this section. The licensee shall keep in his or her files a copy of the\nnotification and any other documentation that is generated by the licensee as proof\nof his or her compliance with this section.\n(5) The commission shall, by the promulgation  of administrative regulations, define\nfalse, misleading, or deceptive advertising.\n(6) The commission shall, by the promulgation of administrative regulations, define the\nmanner in which licensees may utilize any Internet electronic communication for\nadvertising or marketing.","path":["KRS Chapter 324"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=31569","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:19Z","sha256":"4c4e11f861a8443348ebc4a5e7ef2c5b22d1df028e91509e510959adef068d33","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-324.116","next":"us-ky/krs-324.120"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
