{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-324.170","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 324.170","heading":"Hearing to precede any disciplinary action -- Notice -- Conduct of hearing.","body":"(1) The commission shall, before denying an application for license or before ordering\nany disciplinary action against a licensee, order a hearing. The hearing shall be\nconducted in accordance with the provisions of KRS Chapter 13B. If the applicant\nor licensee is a sales associate, the commission shall also notify the principal broker\nof the hearing by mailing notice by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the\nbroker's last known business address. The commission shall order the presence of\nthe principal broker or his or her designated representative at the hearing.\n(2) All hearings shall be conducted by a quorum of the commission or by a hearing\nofficer appointed by the commission. Hearing officers shall not order any\ndisciplinary action against a licensee. The function of hearing officers appointed to\nconduct hearings shall be to preside at the hearing and to prepare a recommended\norder to be submitted to the commission.\n(3) If any licensee is alleged to have committed an escrow account violation t hat\nwarrants emergency action, the commission may conduct an emergency hearing as\nauthorized by KRS 324.150(1)(b).","path":["KRS Chapter 324"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=31581","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:19Z","sha256":"eede2e4c6cecca49490504df67dd8284075a2e57fb7afa5091f6f79d090c5e92","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-324.165","next":"us-ky/krs-324.180"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
