{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-324a.100","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 324A.100","heading":"Criminal background checks for initial applicants for licensure or","body":"certification as real property appraiser.\n(1) The Kentucky Real Property Appraisers Board shall require a national and state\ncriminal background check for each initial appl ication to be a licensed or certified\nreal property appraiser under the following requirements:\n(a) The applicant shall provide his or her fingerprints to the Department of\nKentucky State Police for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation\nafter a state criminal background check is conducted;\n(b) The results of the national and state criminal background check shall be sent\nto the board; and\n(c) Any fee charged by the Department of Kentucky State Police and the Federal\nBureau of Investigation shall be an amount no greater than the actual cost of\nprocessing the request and conducting the check.\n(2) The board shall issue a license or certification to an applicant authorizing the\napplicant to act or offer to act as a licensed or certified real property appraiser in\nthis state upon:\n(a) Receipt of a properly completed application;\n(b) Successful completion of all applicable education, experience, and\nexamination;\n(c) Successful completion of all statutory and administrative regulation\nrequirements for licensing and certification of a real property appraiser; and\n(d) Payment of the required application fee.","path":["KRS Chapter 324A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=58042","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:20Z","sha256":"f171220950a38ec40f3d689dd2c745aa06265340ff67b20256534eba6bb50693","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-324a.090","next":"us-ky/krs-324a.150"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
