{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-324b.050","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 324B.050","heading":"Kentucky Real Estate Authority -- Executive director -- Powers.","body":"(1) The Kentucky Real Estate Authority is hereby created within the Department of\nProfessional Licensing.\n(2) The authority shall be managed by an executive director, who shall  be appointed by\nthe secretary of the Public Protection Cabinet with prior written approval from the\nGovernor. The executive director shall be exempted from the classified service.\n(3) The authority shall have the power and authority to:\n(a) Provide appropriate attorneys, personnel staffing, and administrative support\nto the Kentucky Real Estate Commission;\n(b) Establish and maintain an office, meeting space, office supplies, furniture,\nstorage space, and any other supplies that are necessary to carry out t he duties\nof the authority and the Kentucky Real Estate Commission;\n(c) Make available for public inspection all decisions, opinions, and\ninterpretations formulated or used by the authority and the Kentucky Real\nEstate Commission in discharging its functions;\n(d) Publicize the functions and purposes of the authority and the Kentucky Real\nEstate Commission;\n(e) Employ an administrative coordinator who shall carry out the administrative\nfunctions and day-to-day operations of the Kentucky Real Estate Commission.\nThe administrative coordinator shall be exempted from the classified service;\nand\n(f) Enter into agreements with any state agency, political subdivision of the state,\npostsecondary education institution, or other person or entity to assist with\nimplementation of the duties and responsibilities of the authority or, upon\nrequest, the Kentucky Real Estate Commission.","path":["KRS Chapter 324B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=55524","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:20Z","sha256":"a4670650f1a11b3d6a8f3bd0f95337ad204a0554ea9fa5f9a4dc7b00151043ce","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-324b.045","next":"us-ky/krs-324b.060"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
