{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-327.310","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 327.310","heading":"National and state criminal background investigation of all applicants for","body":"licensure, certification, or temporary permit.\nThe Board of Physical Therapy established in KRS 327.030 shall require a national and\nstate criminal background invest igation for every applicant seeking a license or\nprovisional license issued by the board permitting the applicant to engage in a profession\nauthorized by the board. The criminal background investigation shall be by means of a\nfingerprint check by the Depar tment of Kentucky State Police and Federal Bureau of\nInvestigation, pursuant to the following requirements:\n(1) The applicant shall provide the applicant's fingerprints to the Department of\nKentucky State Police for submission to the Federal Bureau of Inve stigation after a\nstate criminal background check is conducted;\n(2) The results of the national and state criminal background check shall be sent to the\nboard for the screening of applicants;\n(3) The board shall be prohibited from releasing any criminal hi story record\ninformation to any private entity or other licensing board, or authorizing receipt by\nsuch entity or board; and\n(4) Any fee charged by the Department of Kentucky State Police or the Federal Bureau\nof Investigation shall be an amount no greater  than the actual cost of processing the\nrequest and conducting the background check.
