{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-330.095","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 330.095","heading":"Reciprocal licensing without examination -- Continuing education","body":"requirements.\n(1) An individual holding an auctioneer license from the proper authority of a state,\nterritory, or possession of the United States of America or the District of Columbia\nthat has licensing requirements equal to or substantially equivalent to the\nrequirements in this state, and where reciprocal licensing privileges are granted to\nresidents of this state, may obtain an auctioneer license without examination and\npre-license education if:\n(a) The board has entered into a valid reciprocal agreement with the proper\nauthority of the state, territory, or possession of the United States of America\nor the District of Columbia from which the nonresident applicant has a valid\nlicense;\n(b) The applicant submits to the board the completed reciprocal application,\nincluding the irrevocable consent described in KRS 330.060, and the license\nand exam verification from a reciprocal state; and\n(c) The applicant pays the applicable reciprocal fee:\n1. The initial reciprocal fee shall be the greater of:\na. The sum total of the initial license and recovery fees charged by\nthe applicant's reciprocal state to a Kentucky resident for an initial\nreciprocal license; or\nb. The sum total of the current initi al license and recovery fees\nassessed by the board to a nonreciprocal Kentucky licensee; and\n2. The renewal reciprocal fee shall be the greater of:\na. The sum total of the renewal license and recovery fees charged by\nthe applicant's reciprocal state to a Kentucky resident for a renewal\nreciprocal license; or\nb. The sum total of the current renewal license and recovery fees\nassessed by the board to a nonreciprocal Kentucky licensee.\n(2) If a licensee is issued a Kentucky reciprocal license via a jurisdiction  that has\ncontinuing education requirements, the Kentucky reciprocal licensee shall be\nexempt from reporting continuing education. If a licensee is issued a Kentucky\nreciprocal license via a jurisdiction that does not have a continuing education\nrequirement, the Kentucky reciprocal licensee shall report continuing education\npursuant to KRS 330.070.\n(3) Disciplinary sanctions against a reciprocal licensee imposed by any licensure\njurisdiction may be grounds for disciplinary action by the board.","path":["KRS Chapter 330"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=31787","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:22Z","sha256":"efc1b2a81dc710a3ce39c18f4d2f6d80323123fcbf7a08ed8fb962f7d7a6a4ef","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-330.090","next":"us-ky/krs-330.100"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
