{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-330.100","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 330.100","heading":"Place of business -- Sign to be erected, requirements, exception -- Claims","body":"and disputes.\n(1) Every auctioneer licensed under this chapter shall maintain a definite place of\nbusiness in the Commonwealth, except that a nonresident holding a valid Kentuc ky\nauctioneer license is not required to maintain an active place of business in the\nCommonwealth if a place of business is maintained in the nonresident's state.\n(2) Every auction house operator licensed under this chapter shall maintain a definite\nplace of business in the Commonwealth, and shall erect and maintain a sign in a\nconspicuous place on the premises at or near the outside entrance to all fixed\nlocations. The sign shall be written in clear and legible letters of not less than two\n(2) inches in he ight, and shall contain the name and license number of the auction\nhouse operator, and the name of the auction house, if different than the name of the\noperator. The sign shall be placed so that it can easily be observed and read by\nanyone entering the auction house.\n(3) All claims or disputes of auctions conducted in the Commonwealth of Kentucky\nand auctions of real or personal property located in the Commonwealth of Kentucky\nshall be adjudicated by the courts of this state.","path":["KRS Chapter 330"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=31788","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:22Z","sha256":"994f78002af01f0c1a2309e08a5ce7f738e698f7a6790be5fa106dccf8b879bf","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-330.095","next":"us-ky/krs-330.110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
