{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-334a.080","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 334A.080","heading":"Powers and duties of the board.","body":"(1) The board shall administer, coordinate, and enforce the provisions of this chapter,\nevaluate the qualifications of applicants, supervise the examination of applicants,\nand may issue subpoenas, examine witnesses, and administer oaths, and shall\ninvestigate persons engaging in practices which violate the provisions of this\nchapter.\n(2) The board shall conduct administrative hearings in accordance with KRS Chapter\n13B. Any person aggrieved by a final order of the board may appeal to Franklin\nCircuit Court.\n(3) The board shall keep records and minutes as necessary and shall promulgate\nresponsible administrative regulations, including but not limited to, administrative\nregulations which delineate qualifications for licensure and renewal of licensure and\nwhich establish ethical standards of practice, and may amend or repeal the same.\n(4) Every person who holds a license to practice speech -language pathology or\naudiology in this state shall be governed and controlled by the rules of professional\nconduct adopted by the board.\n(5) The conferral or enumeration of specific powers elsewhere in this chapter shall not\nbe construed as a limitation of the general powers conferred by this section.\n(6) The board shall fix appropriate and reasonable fees for licensing, and shall\nperiodically review and modify these fees as necessary.","path":["KRS Chapter 334A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=31899","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:23Z","sha256":"6af06c3595007e2b428362710fc5ec152889a3d96bb1819e7115b4cd18cd3bcf","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-334a.070","next":"us-ky/krs-334a.090"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
