{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-335.030","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 335.030","heading":"Practice prohibitions -- Use of titles.","body":"(1) A person shall not engage in the practice of social work in the Commonwealth of\nKentucky, whether in person, through telehealth, or other technology, unless the\nperson:\n(a) Is licensed in accordance with the provisions of KRS 335.010 to 335.160 and\n335.990;\n(b) Is practicing under a temporary permit issued by the board in accordance with\nKRS 335.070 and applicable administrative regulations; or\n(c) Holds an active, unencumbered multistate license and the multistate\nauthorization to practice in accordance with KRS 335.135.\n(2) A person shall not hold himself or herself out to the public by any title or\ndescription of services representing the person as a \"Certified Social Worker,\"\n\"Licensed Social Worker,\" \"Licensed Clinical Social Worker,\" or any other title\nthat includes such words except as such usage of title or description is authorized by\nKRS 335.010 to 335.160 and 335.990, or any comparable designation authorized\nunder a multistate license and multistate authorization to practice recognized\npursuant to KRS 335.135.","path":["KRS Chapter 335"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57512","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:24Z","sha256":"eb0556494a98f15f800637a1d70c7aaa333b22f683aa381c27f8e6cfe68df726","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-335.020","next":"us-ky/krs-335.040"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
