{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-335b.010","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 335B.010","heading":"Definitions for KRS 335B.020 to 335B.070.","body":"As used in KRS 335B.020 to 335B.070, unless the context requires otherwise:\n(1) \"Occupation\" includes all occupations, trades, vocations, professions, businesses, or\nemployment of any kind for which a license is required to be issued by the\nCommonwealth of Kentucky, its agencies, or political subdivisions;\n(2) \"License\" includes all licenses, permits, certificates, registrations, or other means\nrequired to engage in an occupation which are granted or issued by the\nCommonwealth of Kentucky, its agents or po litical subdivisions before a person\ncan pursue, practice, or engage in any occupation;\n(3) \"Public employment\" includes all employment with the Commonwealth of\nKentucky, its agencies, or political subdivisions;\n(4) \"Conviction of a crime\" shall be limited  to convictions of felonies or\nmisdemeanors;\n(5) \"Hiring or licensing authority\" shall mean the person, board, commission, or\ndepartment of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, its agencies or political\nsubdivisions, responsible by law for the hiring of persons f or public employment or\nthe licensing of persons for occupations;\n(6) \"Diversity, equity, and inclusion training\" has the same meaning as in KRS\n164.2894; and\n(7) \"Licensing authority\" means the person, board, commission, department, or other\nentity of the  Commonwealth of Kentucky, its agencies, or political subdivisions,\nresponsible by law for the licensing of persons for occupations.","path":["KRS Chapter 335B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56417","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:25Z","sha256":"f5cbd8c3b06f94f8db988ff8e63c3a94db9f4123e0520801b4804fb250c97e0d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-335.990","next":"us-ky/krs-335b.020"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
