{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-336.220","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 336.220","heading":"Cost of medical examination required by employer.","body":"(1) It shall be unlawful for any employer to require any employee or applicant for\nemployment to pay the cost of a medical examination or the cost of furnishing any\nrecords required by the employer as a condition of employment.\n(2) As used in this section:\n(a) The term \"employer\" means and includes an individual, a partnership, an\nassociation, a corporation, a legal representative, trustee, receiver, trustee in\nbankruptcy, and any common carrier by rail, motor, water, air or express\ncompany doing business in or operating within the state.\n(b) The term \"employee\" means and includes every person who may be permitted,\nrequired or directed by any employer, as defined in paragraph (a) of this\nsubsection, in consideration of direct or indirect gain or profit, to engag e in\nany employment.","path":["KRS Chapter 336"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=32022","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:25Z","sha256":"4b2c3c9333624c77219160011e30c7048930e0ac3ceaa6c0e1d7bafe54466cd0","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-336.210","next":"us-ky/krs-336.230"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
