{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-341.080","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 341.080","heading":"\"Calendar year,\" \"calendar quarter,\" \"week,\" and \"week of","body":"unemployment\" defined.\nAs used in this chapter, unless the context clearly requires otherwise:\n(1) Except in so far as the Education and Labor Cabinet by administrative regulation\nprescribes the equivalent thereof to meet particular conditions:\n(a) \"Calendar year\" means a year beginning on January 1; and\n(b) \"Calendar quarter\" means three (3) consecutive months beginning on January\n1, April 1, July 1, or October 1;\n(2) \"Week\" means such  period of seven (7) consecutive calendar days as the cabinet\nprescribes in administrative regulation; and\n(3) \"Week of unemployment\" means any period of seven (7) consecutive days, as\nprescribed by the cabinet in administrative regulations, during which a  worker\nperformed less than full-time work and earned less than an amount equal to one and\none-fourth (1-1/4) times the benefit rate determined for him or her in accordance\nwith the provisions of subsection (2) of KRS 341.380 except for any week he or she\nreceived shared work benefits in accordance with KRS 341.4161 to 341.4173.","path":["KRS Chapter 341"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53257","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:28Z","sha256":"7c6ce99864e0503ce3529ee0bdb3630aacffa5d6488f383d3fb4fa4d5920c02e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-341.070","next":"us-ky/krs-341.090"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
