{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-341.200","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 341.200","heading":"Power to hear witnesses, issue subpoenas, and serve process.","body":"(1) In the discharge of the duties imposed by this chapter members of the commission,\nthe secretary or any duly authorized representative thereof, may administer oaths\nand affirmations, take depositions, certify official acts, and issue subpoenas to\ncompel the  attendance of witnesses and the production of books, papers,\ncorrespondence, memoranda, and other records considered necessary and relevant\nas evidence in connection with the administration of this chapter. Such subpoena\nshall be served in the same manner  as a subpoena issued out of a Circuit Court, and\nthe sheriff shall receive the same fee as provided by law for like service in civil\nactions. Witnesses subpoenaed shall be allowed witnesses' fees according to the\nrates prescribed by KRS 421.015 for each d ay their attendance is actually required\nat a hearing.\n(2) The secretary or the commission, or any of their authorized representatives, shall\nhave the power, in any and all counties of this Commonwealth, now granted by law\nto sheriffs within their respecti ve jurisdictions, to execute and make due return of\nall notices, summonses, including summonses duces tecum, subpoenas, and\nexecutions in respect to all court actions instituted to enforce the provisions of this\nchapter.
