{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-341.317","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 341.317","heading":"Bond of public works contractor.","body":"(1) Before any contract, exceeding two thousand dollars ($2,000) in amount, is awarded\nto any person for the construction, alteration, or repair of any public building or\npublic work of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, or any subdivision, county or\nmunicipality thereof, such person shall furnish to the contracting agency, county or\nmunicipality a payment bond with satisfactory surety, which shall become binding\nupon the award of the contract to such person, to assure the payment of all\ncontributions under this chapter incurred by such person incident to his performance\nof such contract.\n(2) Nothing in this section shall be construed to limit the authority of any contracting\nagency, county or municipality to require such other bonds or security as might be\nelsewhere authorized or deemed desirable.","path":["KRS Chapter 341"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=32290","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:29Z","sha256":"302951f522bbfea2ea57298b56c0c85902faacf53779720637f64bd5ba091b5b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-341.315","next":"us-ky/krs-341.320"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
