{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-341.4165","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 341.4165","heading":"Effective date -- Expiration -- Termination.","body":"(1) A plan shall take effect:\n(a) On the date of its approval by the secretary; or\n(b) On a date specified within the plan if that date occurs after its approval by the\nsecretary.\n(2) Each plan:\n(a) Shall expire at the end of twelve (12) full calendar months after its effective\ndate; or\n(b) If a plan is revoked by the secretary, shall terminate on the date specified in\nthe secretary's written order of revocation.\n(3) A shared work employer may terminate an approved plan by providing the\nsecretary and each employee in every affected group co vered by the plan with a\nwritten notice. Such notice shall:\n(a) Contain a message indicating that the plan is being terminated;\n(b) Identify the date on which the termination will go into effect; and\n(c) Be delivered to the secretary and each employee in e ach affected group\ncovered by the plan no less than thirty (30) days prior to the termination date.","path":["KRS Chapter 341"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53251","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:29Z","sha256":"87ffee6095d840d3e073129579196f9957bfadf885dca0041bd22f88448eda93","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-341.4163","next":"us-ky/krs-341.4167"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
