{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-341.490","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 341.490","heading":"Unemployment insurance fund.","body":"(1) There shall be a special fund known as the unemployment insurance fund which\nshall be administered separate and apart from all public money or funds of this state.\nThis fund shall consist of:\n(a) All contributions, payments in lieu of contributions, and mo ney collected\nunder this chapter, except any surcharge; interest collected on a delinquent\nsurcharge; money received from any source related to payment of interest on\nadvances under Title XII of the Social Security Act; fines, penalties, and\ninterest on delinquent contributions collected under KRS 341.300; and service\ncapacity upgrade payments collected under KRS 341.243;\n(b) Interest earned upon any money in the fund;\n(c) Any property or securities acquired through use of money belonging to the\nfund;\n(d) All earnings of such property or securities;\n(e) All money received from the federal unemployment account in the\nunemployment trust fund in accordance with Title XII of the Social Security\nAct as amended;\n(f) All money credited to the account of this state in the unemployment trust fund\nin accordance with Section 903 of the Social Security Act as amended; and\n(g) All money received from the federal government as reimbursement, pursuant\nto Section 204 of the Federal -State Extended Unemployment Compensation\nAct of 1970.\n(2) All moneys in the fund shall be commingled and undivided.\n(3) Subject to the provisions of this chapter, the secretary may have full power,\nauthority, and jurisdiction over the fund, including all money and property or\nsecurities belonging t hereto, and may perform any act necessary or convenient in\nthe administration thereof consistent with this chapter.","path":["KRS Chapter 341"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=39983","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:29Z","sha256":"2959e5d708c0c1388cc8bded4ca3bab9e3c4df0214cdddc3585401265850718c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-341.480","next":"us-ky/krs-341.500"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
