{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-341.735","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 341.735","heading":"Reduction of extended benefit amount.","body":"Notwithstanding any state statute to the contrary and to the extent permitted by federal\nlaw, for any week during a period in which federal payments to states under Section 204\nof the Federal -State Extended Unemployment Compensation Act of 1970 are reduced\nunder an order issued under Section 252 of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit\nControl Act of 1985 (Public Law 99-177):\n(1) The weekly extended benefit amount payable to an individual for a week of total\nunemployment in his eligibility period shall be reduced by an amount equivalent to\none-half (1/2) of the federal reduction and the resultant weekly amount, if not a full\ndollar amount, shall be adjusted to the nearest multiple of one dollar ($1);\n(2) The total extended benefit amount payable to any eligible worker with respect to his\napplicable benefit year shall be reduced by an amount equivalent to the aggregate of\nthe reductions under subsection (1) of this section in the weekly amounts paid to the\nindividual; and\n(3) Subject employers, except gove rnmental entities as defined in KRS 341.069, shall\nbe charged, in addition to the amount of regular benefits chargeable under KRS\n341.530, the difference of the amount of extended benefits paid the worker under\nthis section and the amount of the federal pa yment after reduction.
