{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-342.807","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 342.807","heading":"Board of directors.","body":"(1) The  authority shall be governed by a board of directors. The board shall\nexercise complete jurisdiction over the authority.\n(2) The board shall consist of the:\n(a) Secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet;\n(b) Secretary of the Personnel Cabinet;\n(c) Secretary of the Education and Labor Cabinet; and\n(d) Seven  (7) at-large members  appointed by the Governor, subject to\nconfirmation by the Senate.\n(3) Any vacancy which occurs prior to the expiration of a term shall be filled by the\nGovernor in the same  manner as the initial appointment was made, and the\nnew  appointee shall serve only the remainder of the unexpired term.\n(4) No person shall serve on the board who:\n(a) Fails to meet or comply with the conflict of interest policies established by\nthe board and KRS 304.24-270;\n(b) Is not bondable;\n(c) Is an employee, attorney, or contractor of a competing insurer providing\nworkers' compensation insurance in the Commonwealth; or\n(d) Is not a resident of this Commonwealth.\n(5) In making the appointments to the board, subject to Senate confirmation, the\nGovernor shall ensure adequate representation from the major sectors of the\neconomy  and workforce in the Commonwealth.","path":["KRS Chapter 342"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52475","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:32Z","sha256":"6f6c591e1368cdc4514124597cf52a7bf0872ced8818fdf7935d23d2240fc212","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-342.805","next":"us-ky/krs-342.809"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
