{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-344.145","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 344.145","heading":"Denial, because of sex, of equal enjoyment of restaurants, hotels, motels or","body":"facilities supported by government funds prohibited.\n(1) It shall be an unlawful practice to deny an individual, because of sex, the full and\nequal enjoyment of the goods, se rvices, facilities, privileges, advantages, and\naccommodations of a restaurant, hotel, motel, or any facility supported directly or\nindirectly by government funds.\n(2) The provisions of this section shall not apply to:\n(a) Restrooms, shower rooms, bath houses and similar facilities which are in their\nnature distinctly private;\n(b) YMCA, YWCA and similar type dormitory lodging facilities;\n(c) The exemptions contained in KRS 344.130;\n(d) Hospitals, nursing homes, penal or similar facilities, to require t hat men and\nwomen be in the same room.","path":["KRS Chapter 344"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=32617","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:33Z","sha256":"4e202cd0aee8923dbec076028cfb21ff0407d32fc05b3f77ffe6e04606a8fc8a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-344.140","next":"us-ky/krs-344.150"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
