{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-344.520","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 344.520","heading":"Duties and functions of commission.","body":"The duties and functions of the commission shall be to:\n(1) Promote, encourage, and provide advisory assistance in the establishment of local\nvolunteer community improvement programs for, and of interest to, women;\n(2) Conduct programs, studies, seminars, and conferences, and encourage state and\nlocal women's business, professional, and civic organizations to do likewise, to\neducate the public to the problems of women;\n(3) Consult with and advise the Governor and the agencies, departments, boards, and\ncommissions of the state and local and municipal governments on matters\npertaining to women;\n(4) Cooperate with the federal government and with the governments of other states in\nprograms relating to women; and\n(5) Contract from time to time as may be appropria te with experts and consultants who\nmay be utilized as deemed necessary and make other purchases and expenditures,\nall in accordance with the provisions of KRS Chapter 45A, and make such other\nagreements, subject to the provisions of KRS Chapter 45 and 45A , and perform any\nacts that may be necessary to carry out the purposes of KRS 344.510 to 344.530.","path":["KRS Chapter 344"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=32652","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:33Z","sha256":"b7dd76a697d46e76fb24e27e508d759c93252dc85049b435465ec4288f08045a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-344.515","next":"us-ky/krs-344.530"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
