{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-349.125","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 349.125","heading":"Permittee to file information for transmittal to the Kentucky Geological","body":"Survey -- Samples of cuttings -- Confidentiality of information -- Exception.\n(1) Any person to whom a permit is issued pursuant to this chapter shall file, within\nninety (90) da ys after termination of operations conducted under the permit, with\nthe department for transmittal to the Kentucky Geological Survey on forms to be\nfurnished by the department the following information relating to the well:\n(a) A copy of the driller's log certified to be true and accurate;\n(b) The depth and thickness of all water zones encountered and logged;\n(c) The depth of all showing of oil, gas, or coalbed methane;\n(d) The depth and thickness of all coal seams encountered; and\n(e) A true copy of all el ectrical surveys and similar logs and surveys taken. If the\nperson to whom the permit is issued obtains a copy of the electrical survey or\nsimilar log or survey in electronic form, the operator shall submit the electrical\nsurvey or similar log in electronic form if requested by the department.\n(2) Upon request by the department, any person to whom a permit is issued shall save\nfor the Kentucky Geological Survey samples of all cuttings from the well drilled or\ndeepened pursuant to the permit for a period of ninety (90) days after completion\nthereof.\n(3) Upon request by any person furnishing information under this section, the\ninformation shall be kept confidential, for a period of one (1) year after the\ninformation is furnished by such person.\n(4) This section shall not apply to wells drilled or deepened as geological or structure\ntest holes.","path":["KRS Chapter 349"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=32748","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:35Z","sha256":"25a666f14a3f0fc0dc8a28951efa914ffd6f2698a27ffb81c8bea6a4fdf92069","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-349.120","next":"us-ky/krs-349.130"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
