{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-35.280","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 35.280","heading":"Effective date of sentences.","body":"(1) Whenever a sentence of a court -martial, as lawfully adjudged and approved,\nincludes a forfeiture of pay or allowances in addition to confinement not suspended,\nthe forfeiture may apply to pay or allowances becoming due on or after the date the\nsentence is approved by the convening authority. No forfeiture may extend to any\npay or allowances accrued before that date.\n(2) Any period of confinement included in a sentence of a court -martial begins to run\nfrom the date the sentence is adjudged by the court -martial, but periods during\nwhich the sentence to confinement is suspended or deferred shall be excluded in\ncomputing the service of the term of confinement.\n(3) All other sentences of courts-martial are effective on the date ordered executed.","path":["KRS Chapter 35"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=41933","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:52Z","sha256":"ef06b608f7b5261e59b6d37b52dab0378111909700ed5c6762346cf8112dc2f8","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-35.277","next":"us-ky/krs-35.282"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
