{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-350.064","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 350.064","heading":"Reclamation bond to be filed by applicant.","body":"(1) After a surface coal mining and reclamation permit application has been approved\nbut before the permit is issued, the applicant shall file with the regulatory authority,\non a form prescribed and furnished by the regulatory authority, a reclamation bond\nfor performance payable, as appropriate, to the state, and conditional upon faithful\nperformance of all the requirements of this chapter and the permit. The reclamation\nbond shall cover that area of land within the permit area upon which the applicant\nwill initiate and conduct surface coal mining and reclamation operations within the\ninitial term of the permit. As succeeding increments of surface coal mining and\nreclamation operations are to be initiated and conducted within the permit area, the\npermittee shal l file with the cabinet an additional bond or bonds to cover the\nincrements in accordance with this section.\n(2) The cabinet may approve an alternative system that will achieve the objectives and\npurposes of the bonding program pursuant to this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 350"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=47726","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:35Z","sha256":"638147caddc6d8514545bb092250489587a93ba7c8c8431cb6bf7f6e9ce6ffc8","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-350.063","next":"us-ky/krs-350.066"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
