{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-350.075","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 350.075","heading":"Special permits for remining of previously affected areas -- Administrative","body":"regulations.\n(1) In order to bring about a more desirable land use or promote the public interest and\nthe environment, the cabinet may, at its discretion, issue special permit s for the\nremining of previously affected areas, including but not limited to, secondary coal\nrecovery operations, such as coal extraction from coal refuse piles and coal recovery\nfrom slurry ponds. Such permits may provide for alternate requirements for\nrevegetation, topsoil, bonding, premining data collection requirements, water\nquality requirements where there are pre -existing pollutional discharges resulting\nfrom previous mining, and other provisions which may encourage remining and\nsecondary coal recovery.\n(2) The cabinet is hereby authorized to promulgate administrative regulations as\nnecessary in order to implement the provisions of this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 350"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=32787","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:35Z","sha256":"4bd082a3d613a4a93fe7808a1d1dd75ec52843daf4f3a2ead053c1c68d76d676","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-350.070","next":"us-ky/krs-350.080"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
