{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-350.156","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 350.156","heading":"Transfer of jurisdiction of restored land to state agency or sale to political","body":"subdivision -- Return of money to revolving fund.\n(1) After restoration of the acquired land, the cabinet may, with the approval of the\nGovernor, transfer jurisdiction of s uch land, or any portion thereof, to any state\nagency that can best utilize such land for public purposes.\n(2) If the retention of such land is determined to be impractical, the cabinet may, with\nthe approval of the Governor, sell such land to political su bdivisions of the\nCommonwealth at the cost of acquisition and restoration or public sale to the\nhighest bidder. Such land shall be sold subject to the condition that no surface coal\nmining shall be carried on thereon at any time thereafter. The proceeds of  any such\nsale shall be credited to a revolving fund within the cabinet.\n(3) Whenever the cabinet expends funds pursuant to this section in order to satisfy the\ntotal purchase price for lands purchased pursuant to KRS 350.570, the cabinet may\nreturn to the  revolving fund any moneys so used upon resale or other transfer of\nsuch land.","path":["KRS Chapter 350"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=32813","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:35Z","sha256":"e2d44634ff31eaa6963912b6505b52554588336f569207d1157857c4e6473409","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-350.154","next":"us-ky/krs-350.158"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
