{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-350.310","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 350.310","heading":"Mining Council -- Members -- Terms.","body":"(1) The \"Mining Council,\" hereinafter called \"the council,\" is hereby established in the\noffice of the Governor. The council shall be the advisory body referred to in Article\nV(a) of the Interstate Mining Compact. No member of the council shall receive any\ncompensation on account of his service thereon, but any such member shall be\nentitled to reimbursement for expenses actually incurred by him in connection with\nhis possible service as the Governor's alternate on the Interstate Mining\nCommission.\n(2) The council shall be composed of eight (8) members: one (1) of whom shall be the\nLieutenant Governor; three (3) of whom shall be representatives of mining\nindustries; two (2) of whom shall be representatives of nongovernmental\nconservation interests; the commission er for environmental protection and the\nsecretary of the Energy and Environment Cabinet.\n(3) The members of the council representing mining industries and nongovernmental\nconservation interests shall be appointed by the Governor.
