{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-350.555","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 350.555","heading":"Priorities for expenditure of moneys from fund.","body":"Expenditure of moneys from the fund on lands and water eligible pursuant to KRS\n350.560 for the purposes of the Abandoned Mine Lands Program shall reflect the\nfollowing priorities in the order stated:\n(1) (a) The protection of public health, safety, and pr operty from extreme danger of\nadverse effects of coal mining practices; and\n(b) The restoration of land and water resources and the environment that have\nbeen degraded by the adverse effects of coal mining practices and which are\nsituated adjacent to a sit e that has been or will be remediated under this\nsubsection;\n(2) (a) The protection of public health and safety from the adverse effects of coal\nmining practices; and\n(b) The restoration of land and water resources and the environment that have\nbeen degraded by the adverse effects of coal mining practices and which are\nsituated adjacent to a site that has been or will be remediated under this\nsubsection; and\n(3) The restoration of land and water resources and the environment previously\ndegraded by adverse e ffects of coal mining practices, including measures for the\nconservation and development of soil, water (excluding channelization), and\nwoodland resources, fish and wildlife, recreation resources, and economic\nproductivity.","path":["KRS Chapter 350"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=32860","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:36Z","sha256":"53109e9e2047c008f5068d799df3c17be8fd5bea2aa83c5d5d7479979aa669b5","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-350.553","next":"us-ky/krs-350.560"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
