{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-351.110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 351.110","heading":"Examination  prerequisites -- Fees -- Moneys  from licenses and","body":"examination fees for use of department.\n(1) The  department shall not admit any applicant for certification as a mine\ninspector, mine safety analyst, electrical inspector, mine safety instructor, mine\nforeman, or assistant mine foreman to take an examination given by it unless\nthe applicant has the experience required by this chapter, and has submitted\nproof that he or she is drug and alcohol free in accordance with KRS  351.182\nand 351.183, and has presented to the examiner at the time of registration for\nthe examination a United States postal money  order or certified check in the\namount  of fifty dollars ($50). All money  orders or certified checks required\nherein shall be made payable to the State Treasurer, Frankfort, Kentucky.\n(2) All money  paid to the State Treasurer for licenses and fees required by this\nchapter shall be for the sole use of the department and shall be in addition to\nany  moneys  appropriated by the General Assembly  for the use of the\ndepartment.\n(3) The  department may  refuse to examine any applicant who  cannot readily\nunderstand the written English language or cannot express himself intelligently\nin English, or who is obviously intoxicated.","path":["KRS Chapter 351"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46551","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:37Z","sha256":"23a45d1096cf5de66e8a2961780516f549a01477cb6561089fe1bf7730ebc0ab","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-351.109","next":"us-ky/krs-351.120"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
