{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-352.050","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 352.050","heading":"Permissible rating for underground machinery -- Transportation of","body":"underground mining equipment.\n(1) After June 16, 1972, no machinery powered by an internal combustion engine shall\nbe placed in use in underground workings unless the equipment is rated\n\"permissible\" as described in KRS 352.010 for underground use, and the use of the\nmachinery is approved by the commissioner of the Department for Natural\nResources.\n(2) Mining equipment being transported or trammed underground, where energized\ntrolley wir es or trolley feeder wires are present, other than ordinary sectional\nmovements, shall be transported or trammed by qualified personnel under the\nsupervision of a certified foreman. When the equipment is being transported or\ntrammed, no person, except thos e persons directly engaged in moving the\nequipment, shall be permitted to be inby the equipment in the ventilating split that is\npassing over the equipment.
