{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-352.330","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 352.330","heading":"General duties of mine foreman -- Duty of licensee.","body":"The mine foreman shall exercise general supervision over the ventilating apparatus and\nthe airways, traveling ways, working places, pumps and drainage, and shall see that as the\nminers advance their excavations proper breakthroughs are made as required by law to\nproperly ventilate the mine. He shall see that employees are provided with sufficient\nprops, cap pieces, and timbers of suitable size, which shall be delivered to the working\nplace and shall see that the props are cut as square as practicable at bot h ends and as near\nas practicable to the proper length required or designated for the places where they are to\nbe used. The mine foreman shall see that the water is drained as nearly as practicable out\nof the working places, and that the working places are  kept as free from water as\npracticable during working hours. He shall see that every person employed to work in the\nmine is, before beginning to work, instructed in the particular danger incident to his work\nin the mine and furnished a copy of the rules o f the mine.
