{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-353.205","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 353.205","heading":"Department to release production data on crude oil and natural gas.","body":"(1) The Department of Revenue shall submit to the department on or before September\n1 of each year, beginning in 1995 for 1994 production data, statistics on crude oil as\nreported to the Department of Revenue under the crude oil excise tax requirements\nof KRS Chapter 137 and statistics on natural gas production as reported to the\nDepartment of Revenue under the natural resources severance tax requirements of\nKRS Chapter 143A.\n(2) The department shall organize the information it receives from the Department of\nRevenue into a standard format, and shall make it available for public release no\nearlier than January 1 nor later than March 1 of the following year, with the\nexception of the first year, when data shall be made available by September 1, 1996.\nThe informat ion shall be open for public inspection and available for sale at the\noffices of the department. The department may allow the Kentucky Geological\nSurvey to use the production information in ongoing research as soon as it is\nobtained from the Department of Revenue, so long as the information is not\nreleased to the public before January 1 of the year after it is reported.\n(3) The Department of Revenue shall submit to the department the oil and gas\nproduction data which was reported in years prior to 1995, and  the department shall\nmake this information available for public release when it has been processed.","path":["KRS Chapter 353"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=33070","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:39Z","sha256":"1469450b5d3b2ee95626c6153b644e2c60852b05fb655505106a85a1ad258701","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-353.200","next":"us-ky/krs-353.210"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
