{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.2-310","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.2-310","heading":"Open time for payment or running of credit -- Authority to ship under","body":"reservation.\nUnless otherwise agreed:\n(1) Payment is due at the time and place at which the buyer is to receive the goods even\nthough the place of shipment is the place of delivery; and\n(2) If the seller is authorized to send the goods he may ship them under reservation, and\nmay tender the documents of title, but the buyer may inspect the goods after their\narrival before payment is due unless such inspection is inconsistent with the terms\nof the contract (KRS 355.2-513); and\n(3) If delivery is authorized and made by way of documents of title otherwise than by\nsubsection (2) of this section, then payment is due regardless of where the goods are\nto be received:\n(a) At the time and p lace at which the buyer is to receive delivery of the tangible\ndocuments; or\n(b) At the time the buyer is to receive delivery of the electronic documents and at\nthe seller's place of business or, if none, the seller's residence; and\n(4) Where the seller is  required or authorized to ship the goods on credit the credit\nperiod runs from the time of shipment but postdating the invoice or delaying its\ndispatch will correspondingly delay the starting of the credit period.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40648","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:42Z","sha256":"10373047a3181b76a6b8dfdfc819a27faa1f605b2cd9fa4b4ede1479a6c0e008","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-355.2-309","next":"us-ky/krs-355.2-311"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
