{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.2-504","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.2-504","heading":"Shipment by seller.","body":"Where the seller is required or authorized to send the goods to the buyer and the contract\ndoes not require him to deliver them at a particular destination, then unless otherwise\nagreed he must\n(a) put the goods in the possession of such a carrier and make  such a contract for their\ntransportation as may be reasonable having regard to the nature of the goods and\nother circumstances of the case; and\n(b) obtain and promptly deliver or tender in due form any document necessary to enable\nthe buyer to obtain pos session of the goods or otherwise required by the agreement\nor by usage of trade; and\n(c) promptly notify the buyer of the shipment.\nFailure to notify the buyer under paragraph (c) or to make a proper contract under\nparagraph (a) is a ground for rejection only if material delay or loss ensues.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=33295","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:42Z","sha256":"40fff3269b7176631ec627c099e17971927b22f36c4eb054a4ebd98ab9f307fd","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-355.2-503","next":"us-ky/krs-355.2-505"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
