{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-210","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.2A-210","heading":"Express warranties.","body":"(1) Express warranties by the lessor are created as follows:\n(a) Any affirmation of fact or promise made by the lessor to the lessee which\nrelates to the goods and becomes part of the basis of the bargain creates an\nexpress warranty that the goods will conform to the affirmation or promise.\n(b) Any description of the goods which is made part of the basis of the bargain\ncreates an express warranty that the goods will conform to the description.\n(c) Any sample or model that is made part of the basis of the bargai n creates an\nexpress warranty that the whole of the goods will conform to the sample or\nmodel.\n(2) It is not necessary to the creation of an express warranty that the lessor use formal\nwords, such as \"warrant\" or \"guarantee,\" or that the lessor have a spec ific intention\nto make a warranty, but an affirmation merely of the value of the goods or a\nstatement purporting to be merely the lessor's opinion or commendation of the\ngoods does not create a warranty.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=33367","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:43Z","sha256":"9c5306fb8e6c662adac64bce92e13563db253426a092abcbdf77cb121ad1d4d5","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-209","next":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-211"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
