{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-211","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.2A-211","heading":"Warranties against interference and against infringement -- Lessee's","body":"obligation against infringement.\n(1) There is in a lease contract a warranty that for the lease term no person holds a\nclaim to or interest in the goods that arose from an act or omission of the lessor,\nother than a claim by way of infringement or the like, which will interfere with the\nlessee's enjoyment of its leasehold interest.\n(2) Except in a finance lease there is in a lease contract by a lessor who is a merchant\nregularly dealing in goods of the kind a warranty that the goods are delivered free of\nthe rightful claim of any person by way of infringement or the like.\n(3) A lessee who furnishes specifications to a lessor or a supplier shall hold the lessor\nand the supplier harml ess against any claim by way of infringement or the like that\narises out of compliance with the specifications.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=33368","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:43Z","sha256":"4b95c3fceeeda40ab3ae35f1ec862836366237d3ab578e910976c91540860851","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-210","next":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-212"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
