{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-407","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.2A-407","heading":"Irrevocable promises: finance leases.","body":"(1) In the case of a finance lease that is not a consumer lease, the lessee's promises\nunder the lease contract become irrevocable and independent upon the lessee's\nacceptance of the goods.\n(2) A promise that has become irrevocable and independent under subsection (1):\n(a) Is effective and enforceable between the parties, and by or against third parties\nincluding assignees of the parties; and\n(b) Is not subject to cancellation, termination, modification, repudiation, excuse,\nor substitution without the consent of the party to whom the promise runs.\n(3) This section does not affect the validity under any other law of a covenant in any\nlease contract making the lessee's promises irrevocable and independent upon the\nlessee's acceptance of the goods.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=33396","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:43Z","sha256":"61294e1a797ffbe345bfaec8090083e5a60aae1a7e95aef312b3c63d0f39f93f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-406","next":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-501"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
