{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-512","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.2A-512","heading":"Lessee's duties as to rightfully rejected goods.","body":"(1) Except as otherwise provided with respect to goods that threaten to decline in value\nspeedily (KRS 355.2A -511) and subject to any security interest of a lessee\n(subsection (5) of KRS 355.2A-508):\n(a) The lessee, after rejection of goods in the lessee's pos session, shall hold them\nwith reasonable care at the lessor's or the supplier's disposition for a\nreasonable time after the lessee's seasonable notification of rejection;\n(b) If the lessor or the supplier gives no instructions within a reasonable time after\nnotification of rejection, the lessee may store the rejected goods for the lessor's\nor the supplier's account or ship them to the lessor or the supplier or dispose of\nthem for the lessor's or the supplier's account with reimbursement in the\nmanner provided in KRS 355.2A-511; but\n(c) The lessee has no further obligations with regard to goods rightfully rejected.\n(2) Action by the lessee pursuant to subsection (1) is not acceptance or conversion.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=33408","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:43Z","sha256":"246cdfdb5ad9f6a518c8132bbe9933399620fa094755289e1bd82caec7b2559a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-511","next":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-513"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
