{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-524","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.2A-524","heading":"Lessor's right to identify goods to lease contract.","body":"(1) A lessor aggrieved under subsection (1) of KRS 355.2A-523 may:\n(a) Identify to the lease contract conforming goods not already identified if at the\ntime the lessor learned of the default they were in the lessor's or the supplier's\npossession or control; and\n(b) Dispose of goods (subsection (1) of KRS 355.2A-527) that demonstrably have\nbeen intended for the particular lease contract even though those goods are\nunfinished.\n(2) If the goods are unfinished, in the exercise of reasonable commercial judgment for\nthe purposes of avoiding loss and of effective realization, an aggrieved lessor or the\nsupplier may either complete manufacture and wholly identify the goods to the lease\ncontract or cease manufacture and lease, sell, or otherwise dispose of the goods for\nscrap or salvage value or proceed in any other reasonable manner.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=33420","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:43Z","sha256":"458f661eed71330073f7d3c3476f69a596e4abf14351fe038c47d0996195f3a5","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-523","next":"us-ky/krs-355.2a-525"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
