{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.4-204","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.4-204","heading":"Methods of sending and presenting -- Sending directly to payor bank.","body":"(1) A collecting bank shall send items by a reasonably prompt method, taking into\nconsideration relevant instructions, the nature of the item, the number of those items\non hand, the cost of collection involved, and the method generally used by it or\nothers to present those items.\n(2) A collecting bank may send:\n(a) An item directly to the payor bank;\n(b) An item to a nonbank payor if authorized by its transferor; and\n(c) An item other than documentary drafts to a nonbank payor, if authorized by\nFederal Reserve regulation or operating circular, clearing -house rule, or the\nlike.\n(3) Presentment may be made by a presenting bank at a place where the payor bank or\nother payor has requested that presentment be made.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=33528","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:45Z","sha256":"b38417c6180569a683f1773309f15eb39365503b909ab890dc2a11462c3284ec","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-355.4-203","next":"us-ky/krs-355.4-205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
