{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.8-208","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.8-208","heading":"Effect of signature of authenticating trustee, registrar, or transfer agent.","body":"(1) A person signing a security certificate as authenticating trustee, registrar, transfer\nagent, or the like, warrants to a purchaser for value of the certificated security, if the\npurchaser is without notice of a particular defect, that:\n(a) The certificate is genuine;\n(b) The person's own participation in the issue of the security is within the\nperson's capacity and within the scope of the authority received by the person\nfrom the issuer; and\n(c) The person has reasonable grounds to believe that the certificated security is\nin the form and within the amount the issuer is authorized to issue.\n(2) Unless otherwise agreed, a person signing under subsection (1) of this section  does\nnot assume responsibility for the validity of the security in other respects.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=33685","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:47Z","sha256":"4b182b3ebc9263cd8c16c8d5dafa375432bc309b785e006efef1ea6bd822d8b4","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-355.8-207","next":"us-ky/krs-355.8-209"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
