{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.8-301","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.8-301","heading":"Delivery.","body":"(1) Delivery of a certificated security to a purchaser occurs when:\n(a) The purchaser acquires possession of the security certificate;\n(b) Another person, other than a securities intermediary, either acquires\npossession of the security certificate on behalf of  the purchaser or, having\npreviously acquired possession of the certificate, acknowledges that it holds\nfor the purchaser; or\n(c) A securities intermediary acting on behalf of the purchaser acquires\npossession of the security certificate, only if the certi ficate is in registered\nform and is:\n1. Registered in the name of the purchaser;\n2. Payable to the order of the purchaser; or\n3. Specially indorsed to the purchaser by an effective indorsement and has\nnot been indorsed to the securities intermediary or in blank.\n(2) Delivery of an uncertificated security to a purchaser occurs when:\n(a) The issuer registers the purchaser as the registered owner, upon original issue\nor registration of transfer; or\n(b) Another person, other than a securities intermediary, eith er becomes the\nregistered owner of the uncertificated security on behalf of the purchaser or,\nhaving previously become the registered owner, acknowledges that it holds for\nthe purchaser.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=33688","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:47Z","sha256":"3ff5ffcba643de67ef79494ff49f8894f2f83cf6feb956456d6e634d879438ea","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-355.8-210","next":"us-ky/krs-355.8-302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
