{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.8-405","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.8-405","heading":"Replacement of lost, destroyed, or wrongfully taken security certificate.","body":"(1) If an owner of a certificated security, whether in registered or bearer form, claims\nthat the certificate has been lost, destroyed, or wrongfully taken, the issuer shall\nissue a new certificate if the owner:\n(a) So requests before the issuer has notic e that the certificate has been acquired\nby a protected purchaser;\n(b) Files with the issuer a sufficient indemnity bond; and\n(c) Satisfies other reasonable requirements imposed by the issuer.\n(2) If, after the issue of a new security certificate, a protec ted purchaser of the original\ncertificate presents it for registration of transfer, the issuer shall register the transfer\nunless an overissue would result. In that case, the issuer's liability is governed by\nKRS 355.8 -210.
