{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.9-303","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.9-303","heading":"Law governing perfection and priority of security interests in goods","body":"covered by a certificate of title.\n(1) This section applies to goods covered by a certificate of title, even if there is no\nother relationship between the jurisdiction under whose certificate of title the goods\nare covered and the goods or the debtor.\n(2) Goods become covered by a certificate of title when a valid application for the\ncertificate of title and the applicable fee are delivered to the appropriate authority.\nGoods cease to be covered by a certificate of title at the earlier of the time the\ncertificate of title ceases to be effective under the law of the issuing jurisdiction or\nthe time the goods become covered subsequently by a certificate of title issued by\nanother jurisdiction.\n(3) The local law of the jurisdiction under whose certificate of title the goods are\ncovered governs perfection, the effect of perfection or nonperfection, and the\npriority of a security interest in goods covered by a certificate of title from the  time\nthe goods become covered by the certificate of title until the goods cease to be\ncovered by the certificate of title.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=33756","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:47Z","sha256":"00e2f68bab2ad27bd4a00b0be338e35fb7743217805755892ab321b2945d4113","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-355.9-302","next":"us-ky/krs-355.9-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
