{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.9-314","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.9-314","heading":"Perfection by control.","body":"(1) A security interest in controllable accounts, controllable electronic records,\ncontrollable payment intangibles, deposit accounts, electronic documents, electronic\nmoney, investment property, or letter -of-credit rights may be perfected by control\nof the co llateral under KRS 355.7 -106, 355.9-104, 355.9-1051, 355.9-106, 355.9-\n107, or 355.9-1071.\n(2) A security interest in controllable accounts, controllable electronic records,\ncontrollable payment intangibles, deposit accounts, electronic documents, electronic\nmoney, or letter -of-credit rights is perfected by control under KRS 355.7 -106,\n355.9-104, 355.9 -1051, 355.9 -107, or 355.9 -1071 not earlier than the time the\nsecured party obtains control and remains perfected by control only while the\nsecured party retains control.\n(3) A security interest in investment property is perfected by control under KRS 355.9 -\n106 not earlier than the time the secured party obtains control and remains perfected\nby control until:\n(a) The secured party does not have control; and\n(b) One (1) of the following occurs:\n1. If the collateral is a certificated security, the debtor has or acquires\npossession of the security certificate;\n2. If the collateral is an uncertificated security, the issuer has registered or\nregisters the debtor as the registered owner; or\n3.
