{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.9-325","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.9-325","heading":"Priority of security interests in transferred collateral.","body":"(1) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (2) of this section, a security interest\ncreated by a debtor is subordinate to a security interest in the same collateral created\nby another person if:\n(a) The debtor acquired the collateral subject to the security interest created by the\nother person;\n(b) The security interest created by the other person was perfected when the\ndebtor acquired the collateral; and\n(c) There is no period thereafter when the security interest is unperfected.\n(2) Subsection (1) of this  section subordinates a security interest only if the security\ninterest:\n(a) Otherwise would have priority solely under KRS 355.9 -322(1) or 355.9 -324;\nor\n(b) Arose solely under KRS 355.2-711(3) or 355.2A-508(5).","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=33778","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:48Z","sha256":"65f49b7851f92966bcfa8ef4884ef4f0a37306bb39344767520e6f71383eca8d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-355.9-324","next":"us-ky/krs-355.9-326"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
