{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.9-506","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.9-506","heading":"Effect of errors or omissions.","body":"(1) A financing statement substantially satisfying the requirements of this part of this\narticle is effective, even if it has minor errors or omissions, unless the errors or\nomissions make the financing statement seriously misleading.\n(2) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (3) of this section, a financing statement\nthat fails sufficiently to provide the name of the debtor in accordance with KRS\n355.9-503(1) is seriously misleading.\n(3) If a search of the records of the filing office under the debtor's c orrect name, using\nthe filing office's standard search logic, if any, would disclose a financing statement\nthat fails sufficiently to provide the name of the debtor in accordance with KRS\n355.9-503(1), the name provided does not make the financing statemen t seriously\nmisleading.\n(4) For purposes of KRS 355.9 -508(2), the \"debtor's correct name\" in subsection (3) of\nthis section means the correct name of the new debtor.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=33811","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:48Z","sha256":"8e57f77a60da0abc8f42dced15a29764637efa9e533ed3ea581a2e08bc384ea1","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-355.9-505","next":"us-ky/krs-355.9-507"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
