{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-355.9-621","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 355.9-621","heading":"Notification of proposal to accept collateral.","body":"(1) A secured party that desires to accept collateral in full or partial satisfaction of the\nobligation it secures shall send its proposal to:\n(a) Any person from which the secured party has received, before the debtor\nconsented to the acceptance, a signed not ification of a claim of an interest in\nthe collateral;\n(b) Any other secured party or lienholder that, ten (10) days before the debtor\nconsented to the acceptance, held a security interest in or other lien on the\ncollateral perfected by the filing of a financing statement that:\n1. Identified the collateral;\n2. Was indexed under the debtor's name as of that date; and\n3. Was filed in the office or offices in which to file a financing statement\nagainst the debtor covering the collateral as of that date; and\n(c) Any other secured party that, ten (10) days before the debtor consented to the\nacceptance, held a security interest in the collateral perfected by compliance\nwith a statute, regulation, or treaty described in KRS 355.9-311(1).\n(2) A secured party that de sires to accept collateral in partial satisfaction of the\nobligation it secures shall send its proposal to any secondary obligor in addition to\nthe persons described in subsection (1) of this section.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=55715","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:49Z","sha256":"5d696375020bb808d88ec2c569fcde145c5c8ffc652e5a054ad4508464dd09b5","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-355.9-620","next":"us-ky/krs-355.9-622"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
